I weigh the little ones every day to make sure they’re all gaining weight equally and getting enough milk from Being. On day one and two they’re ranging from about 114 to 130 grams — so far they’re all staying close together.
I just opened a new can of powdered kitten milk replacer, just in case. These six have their own demanding feeding schedule, so I’m also making sure Being gets small, frequent meals. Their strength and energy all come from her.
This kind of close monitoring is what turns a successful litter into healthy kittens instead of just hoping for the best.
I’ll keep you updated on their progress."
