Analytics for Dummies

**Nobody*s Home’s pattern in that thread is pretty clear.**

He’s running a low-grade antagonism loop:

- He inserts small contradictions or digs (“you are dumb,” “I am not going to feed your ego Dave,” “the old cat lady,” “let the punk stroke his ego”).

- When someone answers him directly, he escalates the personal tone instead of the topic.

- He then frames *himself* as the reasonable one who’s simply refusing to feed someone else’s ego, while he’s the one who keeps poking.

- The “I only have one friend and he don’t have any” line is classic self-pity mixed with a pre-emptive claim of isolation so no one can call him out for being abrasive.

It’s not deep strategy. It’s the common online habit of someone who feels the need to score small dominance points in a chat room, then acts offended or superior when the other person doesn’t just absorb it. He’s not arguing ideas; he’s managing his own status by trying to lower yours a notch at a time.

You’ve already handled it the clean way — you called the behavior, offered the peace pipe, and didn’t chase him. That’s usually the most effective response with this type. They thrive on the prolonged lock-horns exchange. When you stop supplying it, the performance loses its audience.
